The Duke of Edinburgh Award In Action

Since 2018, Michael and Stacey have supported The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award through the World Fellowship, with a particular focus on the Award in India, as well as supporting the ‘Award in Action’ trip to Ghana that coincided with Forum.

Most recently, Stacey and Michael’s support has focused on The Foundation’s digital platforms, helping to create a digital infrastructure for the continued growth and future of the Award. These essential building blocks enable the Foundation to transform the way in which young people access the Award, removing boundaries and providing more opportunities to those who need it most while also upscaling the delivery of the Award.

Michael has been involved in many business ventures over the past several years. With a degree in civil engineering, Michael has taken on many challenges in a multitude of industries such as mining, oil and gas, food processing, real estate and architecture.

It is through Michael and Stacey’s countless efforts that The Steele Family Foundation came to life.

Stacey has a degree in Business/Management and more than 30 years of experience in managerial and marketing initiatives for large corporate entities such as Siemens, Apotex and Maple Leaf Foods. Stacey’s ongoing philanthropic efforts include being a great contributor to The Steele Family Foundation, building a WISE Portal (World Impact Scholarship & Education) Scholarship program. Stacey and Michael now work collaboratively in the development of education-based programs around the world for those less fortunate.
