THE WISE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM™ EXPLAINED

The WISE Scholarship Program™

The WISE Scholarship Program™ is a structured, multi-year scholarship and educational support program developed by The Steele Family Foundation to further the education of economically disadvantaged children and youth.

The program combines long-term mentorship, verified participant development, and scholarship support for post-secondary education. It is designed to support participants over multiple years through structured guidance, accountability, and access to opportunity.

What WISE Is

WISE is not a one-time scholarship application. It is a structured program developed to support economically disadvantaged children and youth through long-term educational guidance, verified development, and scholarship opportunity.

Through WISE, participants are supported across academic performance, extracurricular activities, and non-formal education over a multi-year period. The program is designed to help participants build readiness for post-secondary education, training, and future opportunity.

Educational Purpose
The Steele Family Foundation’s charitable purpose includes furthering the education of economically disadvantaged children and youth by constructing, equipping, staffing, maintaining and/or operating schools or other educational facilities, and by developing and operating a program which provides scholarships to assist with post-secondary education.

The WISE Scholarship Program reflects this educational purpose through a structured support model focused on long-term participant growth, scholarship readiness, and post-secondary advancement.

How WISE Is Delivered

WISE is delivered through a combination of staffing, partnerships, operational oversight, and technology. The model includes Senior Scholarship Administrators, partner organizations, structured program coordination, and the WISE Portal. Together, these elements support participant engagement, activity verification, long-term development, and scholarship administration. This allows WISE to operate as a structured educational system rather than a simple funding process.

The Role of the WISE Portal

SFF’s scholarship program is implemented in part using the WISE Portal. The WISE Portal is an online program that:

• tracks student achievement over four years across three categories: academic performance, extracurricular activities, and non-formal education

• employs a structured Earn to Learn merit-based system, where students exceeding a threshold score become eligible for post-secondary scholarships

• provides career insights to support long-term personal development

• offers robust reporting, oversight tools, and standardized program administration

The portal helps strengthen consistency, visibility, and accountability across the WISE Scholarship Program while supporting long-term participant development.

Current U.S. Partnership Activity

WISE is currently being advanced through U.S.-based partnership relationships that support implementation, participant engagement, and long-term program learning.

These relationships help create real environments where WISE can be delivered, refined, and strengthened through direct experience. They also support staffing, mentorship, participant identification, and operational coordination.

For full details on current U.S. partnership activity, visit the WISE website. It supports verified documentation, oversight, reporting, and long-term development through the program’s Earn to Learn framework. The platform also helps WISE strengthen consistency, accountability, and program visibility across partnership environments.

International Relationship Development

Alongside current U.S.-based activity, WISE is also exploring broader international relationship development through feasibility review, early partnership discussions, and future-oriented planning. This work is not presented in the same way as current U.S. implementation. Different relationships are at different stages, and the WISE website provides the clearest view of how those distinctions are being approached.

Built Through Partnerships, Staffing, and Phased Growth

The WISE Scholarship Program has been developed through a phased approach that includes partnership-building, staffing, feasibility work, technology development, and long-term implementation planning. As the program continues to grow, The Steele Family Foundation remains focused on building the infrastructure, relationships, and support systems required to deliver WISE responsibly and effectively.
